"Paying Homage"

Our theme for the November 2015 workshops and artist production pieces is "Paying Homage". This theme encourages artists to look at the history of sound art practice and review the technical and conceptual ideas that sound artists were practicing before us today. The workshops will review these themes and allow participants to practice these techniques after an introduction to several practices that have been used in the past. Artists are encouraged to pay homage to sound artists before them by creating pieces that acknlowedge and build on pieces by others.

What's New at MAC

New Website
We are pleased to launch our new website! You will notice significant changes on the website, which reflect the changes we are making here at MAC.
We will soon be accepting submissions of sound art reviews, events, and workshops to share on the website. We have also created artist pages for our previous artists to profile these artists' on-going practices.

Thank you to Rob Martin for his excellent work on the website and his dedication to MAC!
